I had the great opportunity to fish Loudon on Monday. I put in at Yarberry at around 8 a.m. I had several things on my agenda. I had some spots I wanted to mark way points on, and to check out an area I found on the map, hunt down the swing set, and of course catch a few fish. I accomplished all these things and caught very few fish.. ;D. The water temp had dropped to 75 degrees and they had pulled water all night long from the rains the day before. I threw everything in the boat. By eleven I was wondering if the fish had been sucked down to Watts Bar. Then it happened. I flipped under a willow tree with a junebug senko and caught a fifteen inch smallie. I threw that senko until i thought my arm was going to fall off. I switched over to a strike king red eye rattling bait and caught a small large mouth in a school of minnows. I fished for three more hours and caught two more short fish on the rattling bait. By this time the wind was pushing some pretty good rollers up the lake and I decided to pack it in. Until next time....
